April 9th - Temp changes for Trash and recycling pickup
Posted on Apr 9th, 2020
The Board has set forth the following temporary recommendations during this time:
If you cannot get a covered can or you are unable to physically get your can to the curb, we are asking that you please put your trash bag in a neighbors can that is already outside. We are asking if you see a trash bag sitting out and have room in your can, kindly place the bag of trash into your container to help keep the community clean.
These changes have been made in Fairfax County as well as other counties in order to protect the essential workers. We have received feedback that all major trash haulers are working on shorter crews and less people as many are afraid of being exposed to the virus. With our help by following their guidelines and restrictions, it will ensure that we continue to get the trash service needed on a weekly basis. Should they start losing more people trash service all together could come to a halt.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and we can't thank you enough for your cooperation. We hope the threat posed by the COVID-19 virus will lessen soon so that we can all resume our normal lives and schedules. It is imperative that we continue to support one another until then. As always, I'm here to answer any questions you may have and I can be reached at email@example.com.
Thank you and have a great evening!
