Union Mills is a well-established neighborhood of 94 garage-unit townhouses and 217 non-garage townhouses and 57 single family homes tucked in the southwest corner of Fairfax County, Virginia.  Our 92 acres are located just off either side of Union Mill Road between Lee Highway (Route 29) and Old Braddock Road.  The community sits in a park-like environment with many broad open spaces filled with decades-old trees and carefully tended lawns and landscaping.

Union Mills Day 2008

Our community celebrated our annual "Union Mills Day" with a pool party on Saturday, July 12, 2008. Everyone enjoyed a beautiful warm and sunny summer day at the pool which included a barbeque, fun games and activities with prizes, festive music, swimming, and door prizes. The kids enjoyed the following contests and activities: Hula Hoop Contest, Musical Hot Dog Contest, Penny Dive Contest, Water Balloon Toss Contest, Lucky Ducks, Tattooing, Macarana Dance Contest, Electric Slide, Sidewalk Chalk, and many door prize drawings.

Carol Hendrickson and Cathy Cash were the Co-Chairpersons this year and organized a very fun and festive event. Special thanks to the Party Team for helping make the party a success which included Bob Cash (who solicited donations from local businesses), Aida Muzo, John Keenan, Jessica Card, Joan Devine, Isabella Muzo, Tanya Kumar, Brittany Cash, & Brooke Cash. Thanks also to the residents who brought a side dish or dessert. Thanks to the UM HOA for supporting and contributing to this event.

We would also like to thank the following businesses who made kind and generous donations towards the event: Safeway, Giant (Colonnade), Giant (Centreville), Giant (Greenbriar), Bella Pizza, Starbucks, Blockbuster, & 7 Eleven.
